We took another McCarthy's tour today. This time a full day with our guide Carl Hutton.

We drove by several of the Out Ports on the way to our first stop in Brigus taking one or two shots along the way including this shipwreck
Continuing on we spotted a Gull nesting on the wharf
These Newfoundland Ponies were also seen grazing contently
We reached the picturesque town of Brigus allowing for a stop to walk around and have lunch
Our lunch of Fish Cakes was served at the "Seasalt & Thyme" Pub formerly a Convent
After lunch we made our way to the major town of Bay Roberts. We picked up the Mayor of the Town and drove to a hut formerly used by Fisherman to store their nets etc. We were greeted by several locals to try Toutons & Capelins accompanied by some traditional music. The Mayor also gave us some interesting facts about his town and surrounding area
Toutons are made from leftover bread dough fried in pork belly fat. Yum!
